Flowers on my Grave

Written in 2021 by Bill Boyan

I saw flowers on my grave
I tried to tell her I'm alive
She knelt down to say a prayer
I saw a tear fall from her eyes
I always thought she didn't care
I never knew the reason why
She never thought I was sincere
But it was just my foolish pride

I've got so many souls around me
asking me what could be wrong
They've left life for the living
'Now it's time to move along
I've got so many souls around me
They're telling me I must be strong
But it's hard to feel comfort
in a place I don't belong
