Juan Klappenbach is one of the youngest talents in the Argentine jazz scene. At the age of 12 he began to play New Orleans music on clarinet and alto sax with Baby Jass Band. Later on, he became a member of Delta Jazz Band, Porteña Jazz Band and made his debute at the age of 17 in Antigua Jazz Band. Having visited over 12 countries - giving concerts, master classes and participating in festivals - he performed together with outstanding artists, such as: Leroy Jones, Jorge Navarro, Sandra Mihanovich, Deborah Dixon, Jon Seiger, Carling Family and Americo Bellotto, among others. He recorded for many artist all around the world, making arrangements and playing Bb, Eb and bass clarinet and also soprano, alto, tenor and bariton saxophone. For the last 20 years he has been committed to his teaching activity and is currently member and director of Orquesta Brazofuerte.
