Hi! I'm Isaac Solís, a professional bass player from Costa Rica with over 12 years of experience bringing songs to life with powerful, soulful basslines.

I specialize in Latin rhythms like salsa and cumbia, as well as Afro styles like reggae and ska, but I’m fully capable of adapting to any genre that needs groove and feel. I’ve recorded EPs with Viejos de Patio, Mike Aguilar, and an upcoming project with Elokuencia, set to release this July. I studied music at both my local music school and the University of Costa Rica, giving me a solid foundation in both performance and musicality.

Amp: BUGERA BXD12 (I record through DI tuned with the amp for warmth and clarity)

Microphones: Fifine AM8 (dynamic), plus a generic condenser

Processing: I use effects only as needed, based on your genre and vision.

Before I start, I’ll chat with you to understand your vision. If you have a reference, I’ll review it, but I love when clients trust my musical instinct—I know how to craft basslines that really connect with your music.
