JudgeXJudy - Celebrating Tha Decline Ov Tha ‘Merican Empire With CCR Covers

Four song EP of Creedence Clearwater Revival covers done in a technical and blistering punk, powerviolence, grindcore fashion.

The band is me (drums), Paul (bass/vocals), Kyle (guitar/vocals) and Sam (Samples/DJ), and while each member plays their own respective instruments in the band, this one was done a little differently. I arranged all the songs and recorded and played on all the instruments while Paul and Kyle did the vocals and Sam provided the DJ scratches and samples.

Paul had the idea of covering this band for a long while and because we don’t take ourselves too seriously and typically write originals about any wacky topic you could think of, half of us didn’t think Paul was serious. I was wicked down with the idea so initially it was just me and Paul working on it together, but that didn’t mean Kyle and Sam weren’t into it seriously eventually.

The drums were recorded in our practice space with the help of our friend Scott providing the mics and massive focusrite setup. Guitars and bass I did on my own in my bedroom and the vocals were all done in Sam’s house in his studio recording set up in his room specifically.
