La Salvación Pertenece A Nuestro Dios - Paolo Uggetti

“La Salvación Pertenece a Nuestro Dios” by Nuevo Pacto Colectivo featuring Paolo Uggetti is a contemporary reimagining of a song that has been sung in churches for years. The project was especially meaningful because it brought back Paolo Uggetti, the song’s original composer and performer, for a new version of a song first released in 2007.

I served as the producer and arranger for this recording. From the beginning, the goal was not simply to modernize the song, but to preserve the strong congregational and church-choir character that made the original resonate while placing it inside a more current worship production.

The lyric is built around a powerful declaration: salvation belongs to our God. Throughout the song, that idea expands into themes of God’s power, deliverance, protection, strength, and faithfulness in the face of opposition. The later sections become especially personal, declaring God as our glory, our strength, our refuge, and the One who lifts our heads.

Those themes shaped many of my arrangement decisions. I wanted the production to begin with a strong congregational identity and gradually grow in intensity, allowing the repetition and declarations in the lyric to feel increasingly powerful rather than static. The arrangement was designed around musical movement, dynamic builds, vocal energy, and the feeling of a church singing together, while introducing a more contemporary sonic language around the original song.

As producer, I worked to balance those two worlds: honoring the familiarity and simplicity of a worship song people already knew while giving the new recording enough scale, energy, and musical detail to stand on its own.

After I completed the production and arrangement, the record was mixed by Roberto “Tito” Martinez and mastered by Lucas Pimentel, allowing each stage of the project to receive its own dedicated perspective.

This recording represents a part of production I especially enjoy: taking something rooted in the musical language of the church and finding a way to move it forward without losing its identity. My role was ultimately to serve the song—honoring its history, its message, and the congregational experience at the center of it.
