I’m a professional bassist, producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with years of experience touring, recording, performing, and helping artists bring records to life. I’m the bassist for YAM YAM, a nationally touring funk/soul/jazz group, and my career has included extensive live work, studio sessions, and music that has reached the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts.

My biggest strengths are pocket, feel, tone, and serving the song. I come from a deep background in funk, soul, R&B, jazz, and groove-driven music, with influences including D’Angelo, Earth, Wind & Fire, Anderson .Paak, Kaytranada, and Marvin Gaye. I love music that feels human, soulful, rhythmic, and alive.

Outside of touring and performing, I regularly produce, write, arrange, and record for other artists throughout my local and regional music scene. I work with artists at every stage of the process, from rough demos and early ideas to fully developed productions, helping shape grooves, bass lines, arrangements, song structure, instrumentation, tones, and the overall direction of a track.

That production background heavily influences the way I approach session bass. I’m not just listening to the bass part; I’m listening to the drums, vocals, harmony, dynamics, arrangement, and overall production. My goal is always to create a part that feels natural to the record and makes the entire song stronger.

I’m comfortable playing deep pocket, vintage soul, funk, R&B, jazz-fusion, rock, melodic bass, syncopated grooves, or keeping things simple when that is what the song needs. I care just as much about what not to play as what I play.
