Kill the Vibe – Machete Dance Club

As the bass player and co-writer for Machete Dance Club's debut full-length album Kill the Vibe, I recorded all bass tracks and contributed to the creative development of the songs from the earliest writing sessions through the final studio recordings.

Machete Dance Club is a German alternative rock band blending modern alternative rock, crossover and heavy rock influences into a distinctive and energetic sound. The album features powerful riffs, dynamic grooves, melodic passages and emotionally driven performances that required a versatile and musical bass approach throughout the entire production.

For this record, my focus was on creating bass lines that not only locked in with the drums but also strengthened the overall arrangements, supporting the energy and dynamics of every song. Depending on each track, I combined tight rhythmic playing with melodic ideas to complement both the guitars and vocals while leaving enough space for the mix.

The recording process involved close collaboration with the band and production team, carefully developing tones and performances that best served each composition. Every bass part was performed with attention to groove, consistency and musical expression, ensuring professional studio-quality recordings across the entire album.

This project demonstrates my experience working on full-length commercial productions and delivering reliable, mix-ready bass performances for professional releases.
