Elisioni

Elisioni

Perhaps “Elisioni” is a clever title. What work isn’t an elision? A bridge, a connection between a memory and the present. But also a substitution—something taking the place of a feeling or a thought. The eight songs on the album are an example of this. Visions of life, stories, relationships. Stars, flights, nostalgia. Certainties as imposing as desert dunes and doubts as small as the stars.
The lyrics were written over the course of fifteen years and had no idea they would end up together in a single project. Who knows if they’ll ever become friends, just as I’ve, over time, become friends with the person who gave them a musical form, turning them—in my opinion—into pleasant songs. Please overlook the singer’s “voice that isn’t a voice.”
“Elisioni” is an unpretentious, entirely self-produced project. It was created solely for the author’s personal satisfaction of seeing all of this come to life. If it happens to appeal to someone else as well, that certainly wouldn’t be a bad thing.
