This was an incredible project to play on!! I mean The VanZant Brothers! Was pretty awesome - Robert White Johnson was the Producer (Celine Dion, Giant, Beach Boys. Skynyrd! Robert is an amazing producer! The session was with Mike Brignardello on Bass, Jerry McPherson on GTR, And legendary keyboard player Bill Cuomo(anything and everything with Keys on it in the 80's and 90's "Ohe Sherrie" All the Whitesnake stuff") I cut drums and did some drum programming which was new for the Brothers but they dug it!! The process for this project was listen down to these insane;y well written songs and play your butt off! Old School! I used my DW Session kit that was in high demand! Still Have it still use it _ Its def a one of a kind! I think the highlight of the session was when I came out of the tracking room after a take - VH1 Behind the Music was on and It was the Lynyrd Skynyrd story! That was a bit surreal. I def made sure not to yell out "Freebird" during session! I was new in town and this was a huge stepping stone for me! Was a great 5 Days! 5 Days to cut a record - now we do the in two days or one!!! We tracked at "17 Grand" as with most studios its gone - it had a great drum room!
