Bios for Musicians : 3 for the price of 1 for $50
As a musician myself with experience writing bios and music blogs that have been acknowledged by major companies like CD Baby, I understand the importance of having a concise, professional band/artist bio that stand outs. You've probably run into situations where you need different lengths of bios for different opportunities. So for $50 I'm including 3 finished bios: a short bio (50 words), a medium bio (200 words), and a full length bio (400 words or less). It's important to me that we are on the same page with your sound and style, so I'll ask you to answer several questions up front, like "What artists sound similar to you?", "How would you describe your genre?", etc. I'll also ask you to list some of your recent accomplishments, as well as discuss your "story." For example, maybe your latest record was written in an isolated cabin in the country after a bad break up with an ex, or maybe you recently left your full time job to pursue music. Those are the kinds of things that are crucial in grabbing the attention of press, blogs, and other music industry people. Below, is a sample of a 200 word bio::::::::::::
Laini and the Wildfire is a piano-fronted pop rock trio from New Haven, CT. Their latest record, Wandering, released in November 2017, blends the pop sensibility of artists like Adele and the raw edge of female-fronted rock bands, like Florence + the Machine, inflected with a touch 60s soul. Indie Spoonful (2017) writes: “Wandering is a stand-out album…each song has potential to stand alone as a top notch single, leaving the listening with plenty of memorable tunes that will be stuck in their head.” The band’s sound highlights Laini’s vocals, along with percussive piano, anthemic group harmonies, and the powerful rhythm of bass and drums—using guitars and other instrumentation as a subtle polish. Wandering explores past regret, future hopes, and fear of change in context of Laini’s decision to resign as a therapist to pursue music full-time. The band has grown rapidly since the debut of their EP in May 2016. They were recently named Best Pop Band 2017 by Indie Voice Blog. Endorsements from Westone Audio, Moniker Guitars, and GMS Drums further validate the industry’s belief in the band’s potential. Together, Laini Marenick, Mark Marenick, and Rob Siraco have developed an identity that transcends generations and translates into a captivating live performance, where the band, along with Laini’s gold glitter piano, shines front and center.
