Digital Music Mastering - $50 per song for $50
I master music on the computer, using a solid understanding of my tools and an objective mindset to deliver a professional-quality master to the client, based on the provided references. I will need a stereo file of the final mix, which should be a WAV or AIFF file format with -6db of headroom.
I start by making a preliminary observation, then follow up with a quick phone/video call to set expectations and better understand the client's intention. then, using my client's references as a guide, I proceed to problem solving and enhancing the stereo audio file provided. I seek to adjust the sonic balance so it is clear, full, and pleasing to the ear. I use dynamic processing to achieve a nice ebb and flow, and bring the track up to an appropriate loudness level based on the client's communicated desires. Next is time for revisions, where the client can request changes within reason and I will provide a revised master.
I use Reaper on PC. I listen on a set of DT 990 PRO 250ohm headphones which have been individually calibrated by Sonarworks.
