Looking for a female vocalist for a neo-soul / R&B acoustic ballad.

I'm an aspiring author and am currently working on a novel. Part of the narrative will have the main character sing an emotional acoustic ballad / love confession. I thought to bring the song that I wrote to life! I am looking for someone who can not just sing the words, but to interpret the emotions of the song and translate them into the performance, as if you were the character herself! :)

A little about her voice:
A guarded, slow-spoken and ve ... ry cynical 19 year old. Her voice is naturally of a slightly deeper register with a touch of natural rasp.

Accent:
The character lives in New York but any USA accent works. If you are not a native English speaker, please be able to sing well with an american accent! :)

Notes on delivery:
Melancholic and conversational: she's singing to herself in an empty room.
Delivery should be understated and a little nonchalant, with the emotion underneath rather than belted.
Reference: Olivia Dean - ("I've Seen It"). Not as deep, but very close to Olivia's voice.

A little about the song:
It's a melancholic acoustic ballad (varying 83 BPM tempo, around 2 minutes) led by an acoustic fingerstyle guitar as the only instrument, so your voice will sit right up front as the second track. Two tracks only! No harmonies, no distraction!
A couple of lines in the song are spoken rather than sung, so looking for someone who is comfortable blending sung and spoken delivery naturally.

Overall, vocal storytelling and delivery of the lines as if the character was speaking them is what I am after.
