Rockoustic Track Mix + Pro Tools Session & Video Walkthrough (Searching for Go-To Mixer)

I am a Rockoustic artist looking for an exceptional Pro Tools mixing engineer for an upcoming track. To clarify the vibe: think full, driving rock band arrangement—hard-hitting drums, deep bass, complete rhythm section—where the lead and rhythm guitars are entirely acoustic. It’s dynamic, full-energy rock driven by acoustic instrumentation rather than electric amps. What I hear in my head is dry, in your face, with a vintage sensibility but definitely ... modern.

I suppose I would be considered indie acoustic rock or modern classic rock with an acoustic heartbeat. During the days of my former band, we were called ROCKOUSTIC - Acoustic-based rock with the soul of electric guitars.

I am currently testing out a few select mix engineers to find a go-to collaborator for ongoing projects. Because I handle my own session tracking and production, I am looking for a partner who isn't just a great mixer, but who is also open to sharing their perspective. I want to see how your specific workflow, gain staging, and mix bus strategies elevate this sound so we can align on a unified vision moving forward. I am open to ANYTHING.

Requirements & Workflow:

DAW: Must be mixed 100% inside Pro Tools.

In-The-Box Processing: In-the-box only (no hardware inserts) so the session routing and state remain fully intact.

Plugin Constraints: To ensure I can open and study your session structure, please note that I subscribe to ALL Slate/SSL plugins, ALL Plugin Alliance plugins, ALL WAVES plugins, a TON of Universal Audio plugins (Spark and non-Spark) plus a whole host of others. Please feel free to inquire.

Format: Multi-track audio files will be supplied clean and ready for mix.

Required Deliverables:

Final Mixed Audio: Full-resolution 24-bit WAV mix bounce.

Pro Tools Session File: The complete .ptx file with all routing, sub-busses, EQ/compression moves, and mix bus processing intact.

Screen Video Walkthrough (15–20 Mins): A brief, informal screen recording (Loom, OBS, etc.) walking through your mix decisions—highlighting how you shaped the acoustic guitars to bite through a full rock rhythm section, your bus routing, and key mix-bus processing.

Definitely willing to pay extra for the video walkthrough OR simply send back the PRO TOOLS session file as you completed it.

This ongoing project will probably include 4 or 5 songs, each with different vibes within the ROCKOUSTIC sphere.
