Looking for lyricist / topline vocalist for emo / post-rock / alternative project

Hey! I’m working on a solo project called by the world forgotten and I’m looking for someone to help write lyrics and topline vocal melodies for a few songs.

I currently have 4 instrumental songs written, with more on the way, but I’d like to knock these four out first.

The project sits somewhere around emo / alternative rock / post-rock, with influences like Pianos Become the Teeth, Gates, From Indian Lakes, Foxing, HRVRD, and The End ... of the Ocean. The songs move between quieter, intimate sections and much bigger emotional crescendos, so I’m looking for someone who is comfortable writing melodies that can live in both spaces.

Vocally, I’m drawn to something emotional and natural rather than super polished or pop-focused. Clean vocals are the main thing, but some grit or strain when the song calls for it is totally welcome. Strong phrasing and melody instincts matter more to me than having a huge range.

I already have a pretty clear direction for the album lyrically and can provide themes, ideas, phrases, references, and context for each song. I’d like this to feel collaborative rather than just sending over an instrumental and saying “write something.”

One important thing: I do not want AI-generated lyrics or melodies used on this project. I’m specifically looking for a human writer to help shape these songs.

For each track, I’m mainly looking for:

* Lyrics
* Topline melody
* A rough vocal demo so I can hear the intended melody, phrasing, and any harmony ideas

These do not need to be final vocals. The finished vocals will be tracked separately by another vocalist, so no detailed vocal editing, tuning, production, or mixing is needed. A clean, understandable demo is completely fine.

I’m happy to go back and forth on revisions. I care much more about getting something that really fits the song than rushing through a first draft.
