Custom Synth Sound Designer Wanted – Help Build a Cohesive Palette for an Album

I’m looking for a synth sound designer to create a small, coherent collection of custom sounds for an album I’m currently producing - it's meant to be unlike anything I've ever done, and I need help!

I’m not looking for a large preset pack or recreations of specific artists’ sounds. Just some carefully designed patches that can become a recurring sonic vocabulary across the whole record.

Importantly, I’m only commissioning the sou ... nd design/presets themselves. I don’t need any synth parts composed, played or programmed for the songs — I’ll write and perform all parts myself. I'm using Massive and Battery for my keys and drums.

The music sits somewhere around James Blake, Bon Iver’s more electronic work, Francis and the Lights, Radiohead and some of the spaciousness of David Gray, but I’m trying to develop an identity rather than imitate those artists.

The record is built around a lower, fairly exposed male vocal, piano/keys, samples, programmed rhythm and heavily processed electric guitar. I want the synths to create atmosphere, movement, tension and character without filling every part of the frequency spectrum.

I can provide several demos from the album, reference tracks and a synth patch I’ve already built that gives some indication of the direction my ears are heading. I’m happy for the sounds to be designed in response to the actual music rather than in isolation.

The goal is essentially to design an instrument palette for one record, rather than simply make a collection of good synth presets.

I’m especially interested in working with someone who enjoys building a cohesive sonic world across a project, rather than designing each sound as a standalone showcase.
