Help Us Build the Sound of a Superhero Universe

We are looking for a composer/studio musician to create original cinematic music for Med-Defender™, an animated superhero series. We currently have three episodes ready, a fourth in development, and more planned.

The music must project the emotion and action of each scene, not simply serve as background music. When Med-Defender arrives, for example, we envision a powerful and recognizable superhero entrance — dramatic brass/trumpets, percussion, energy ... and impact. Suspenseful, emotional, educational, comedic and villain scenes should each have their own appropriate tone.

We also want to develop recurring musical identities, including an original theme for our main villain, and unique musical stingers or selected sound effects.

We are not professional musicians, so we will communicate primarily through emotions, visual references and what we want the audience to feel. Our creative process is iterative; sometimes we need to hear the music with the scene before recognizing what needs adjustment. Therefore, at least 1–2 reasonable revision rounds should be included.

This has the potential to become a long-term collaboration as we build an already existing musical identity for the Med-Defender/MediVille™ universe.

All music must be original and cleared for commercial use, with ownership/licensing terms agreed upon beforehand.

We would like to begin with one episode to determine whether we are a good creative fit before moving forward with additional episodes.
