PROJECT OVERVIEW

I am developing a theatrical musical titled MAGDALENE, centered on the redemption story of Mary Magdalene.

This is not a generic retelling — the show explores brokenness, spiritual oppression, identity, release, and transformation. The music must carry that emotional and narrative weight.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR

I am hiring top-tier songwriters/producers who understand how to blend:

Narrative musical theater structure
Cinematic production
Modern sonic identity
Emotional storytelling through melody and lyric

You should be comfortable writing songs that:

Have clear character perspective
Show emotional progression within the track
Feel visually driven (we should be able to “see” the scene)
Build dynamically (not static verse/chorus loops)

SONG DIRECTION

Each song will come with:

A specific moment in the story
Reference tracks (for tone, not imitation)
Emotional and narrative context
