Sound Engineer / Mixer Wanted — Vintage Romance, Big Reverb, Real Feel

I’m looking for a talented sound engineer / mixing partner who can truly get my universe: somewhere between Steely Dan–style jazz fusion, ’70s yacht rock that smells like a convertible and surf (think Christopher Cross), and more romantic, larger-than-life arrangements in the spirit of Julio Iglesias / Luis Miguel. In short: an authentic, old-world sound that brings back an era ... of carefree romance.

A bit about me: I’m currently an AI Director at a U.S.-based company, but music has always been my real calling. I left the Air Force to pursue it, and over the next year I’m very likely stepping away from my profession entirely to go all-in on music. I’ve played in jazz bars around the world, and I’m now producing my own records — I write, compose, arrange, and play the instruments, working with producers for recording and production.

What I need: someone comfortable mixing orchestral-ish / wide arrangements, keeping things tight and “dry” when needed, but also someone who can shape reverb like an instrument. Reverb is the most important point for me — I’ve literally traveled just to hear reverbs in churches, so I’m serious about space, depth, tails, and texture.
