Cinematic String Composer Wanted – Emotional Film Score

I’m an independent filmmaker looking for a composer who also plays strings (e.g. violin, viola, cello, double bass) to create an original, emotionally driven, cinematic score for my film.

The film needs approximately 10–15 minutes of music, mostly built around one or two real string instruments to keep things intimate, organic and human.

The cues will focus on a series of key scenes where the anti hero interacts with a child; moments tha ... t mix tenderness and warmth. I’m looking for someone who can bring that relationship to life with strings, supporting the emotional arc without overwhelming it. Bonus if you can also play piano to gently counterpoint the tender moments.

This is a self-funded independent production, so I’m looking for someone who’s professional, collaborative and easy to communicate with. I’m happy to work fully remote, sharing cuts and notes.

We’ll be working to a locked cut, and I’ll provide reference scenes, timings and notes so we can spot the music together.
