Background Violin Part Needed for “Rainbow Connection” (Sarah McLachlan Version) Budget: $25–70 Elementary School Memorial Performance

I’m looking for either a violinist (who creates by ear) or a string arranger (who can provide sheet music with mp3) to create a background violin part (some harmonies, light countermelodies, for example) for “Rainbow Connection” (based on the Sarah McLachlan version). I will be playing violin along with my two music teaching colleagues at an elementary school assembly. One of our colleagues passed away over the summer, and we want to perform this piece ... in her memory.

My colleagues will be playing guitar, piano, and singing, so I will be adding a supportive violin part in the background. They feel most comfortable with the key of E (which modulates to F), so I purchased a karaoke backing track in this key to simplify the process. I’ve also purchased piano sheet music transposed to this key, which shows the melody and chords if needed.

Project Goals:
The violin part can:
🎶 Gently support the singers without competing with the vocal line (both colleagues sing; one plays piano, the other guitar).
🌿 Include rests where the violin should stay out of the way.
🎻 Feature simple harmonies and light countermelodies where they fit best.
🎼 Be playable and expressive, especially considering intonation challenges in E major. It modulates to F for the third verse.

Starts in E major, modulates to F major near the end.
I have sheet music and a recording already transposed to this key to make things easier.

Deliverables (either option works!!):
🎵 A written violin part (PDF or MusicXML preferred) + a simple MP3 demo
OR
🎻 A professional violinist recording (if you create by ear)—I can transcribe it if needed. I just need a quality violin part that I can figure out and practice with! It can be recorded with the karaoke track in the key of E so that I have a practice track to use.
