Experienced Classical Guitar Completing Master’s Offers Personalized Lessons in Classical and Electric for $60
I am a Swedish-American guitarist, born in Stockholm and raised between Sweden and the United States. I began studying piano at age 6, then picked up the guitar at age 9. Over the years, I've involved myself in both classical and flamenco traditions while also performing as an electric guitarist in progressive and neoclassical projects.
In 2008, I earned my Bachelor of Music in guitar performance from McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating, I continued advanced studies and teaching in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, later moving to Oslo, Norway, where I educated guitar students privately.
From 2020 to 2023, I pursued individual classical guitar training with Mikhail Nagornov, head of the guitar department at the Kazan State Conservatory named after N.G. Zhiganov. Currently, I am in my final term of a Master's degree in classical guitar in Belgrade, Serbia, under the guidance of Dušan Dimitrijević, one of Serbia's most distinguished guitar figures.
I have played in various ensembles and duos throughout my career, and am currently a member of "The Danube Duet," performing with a professional mandolinist.
My repertoire spans a range of classical works, including pieces by Chopin, Villa-Lobos, various Russian composers, Bach, Myers, Tárrega, Barrios, and more. Beyond performance, I bring proficiency in music theory & counterpoint, the history of Western art music, arranging, composition, conducting, and recording theory. I also have extensive experience with electric guitar, including studies with Berklee guitar professor Bobby Stanton.
Whether you're exploring classical technique, flamenco rhythms, electric improvisation, or music theory/composition, My goal is to help students unlock their potential through personalized, in-depth lessons.
