Following the Ambassadorship deal with Yamaha, Jazz Musician, Synthesizer and Multi-Award winning Music Producer Wole Oni who was recently showcased his first promotion video with Yamaha, for the Yamaha Montage keyboard, has been rankedas one of the world’s best musicians.

In a list compiled by Yamaha Global site, Wole Oni was classed alongside other world leading synthesizers & music production artistes such as 22-time Grammy Award winner Chic Corea, Chuck Leavell; whose piano and keyboard work has been heard on renowned artistes’ works such as the Rolling Stones, John Mayer, Eric Clapton and many more, also vocalist, instrumentalist, songwriter and producer Xantone Blacq, amongst others.

Wole Oni announced his ambassadorship deal with Yamaha in April. The signing was done in Lagos, Nigeria with officials of Yamaha duly accounted for at the signing. It was not the first time the award winning producer is enjoying such deal; he has been United Nations International Ambassador for Peace for quite a period in time.

The distinguished Nigerian Jazz musician and producer has carved a niche for his production excellence with works such as ‘Kosobabire’ (Folake Umosen), ‘Olomi’ (Tosin Martins), ‘Igwe’ (Midnight Crew), ‘Hallelujah’ & ‘Ijoba Orun’ (Lara George), the Centenary Theme Song, ‘Mama Peace’, amongst others.

As a seasoned and talented pianist, Wole has been in the Jazz and Classical music scene in Nigeria for decades. He has been privileged to share music platform with many great musicians such as Yinka Davies, Brycee Bassey, Sammie Okposo to mention just a few. Describing Wole Oni, the founder of Jazzville Mr. Muyiwa Majekodunmi extolled his virtues, calling him “a rare but astonishing talent.”

Wole Oni has released 3 official musical pieces so far. He documents the secret of his successes over the years in the word narration of his first single “Cover me Lord” using the avenue to encourage whoever is willing to take the route as well. “Igwe” is a piano interpretation of critically acclaimed single by Midnight Crew with Wole Oni production credit. He also made a Christmas piece with Laurie Idahosa, Pastor and wife of the senior pastor of Church of God Mission International, Bishop FEB Idahosa.

Amidst all the achievements, Wole Oni acknowledges the grace of God upon his life and believes He is the source of all his many successes.
