He fell in love with the music while being a kid. He fell in love with the music while he was a child, tried to improvise. He began to study music in music school at the age of five. Later he entered the Ivanovo College of Music where he studied classical piano. He was graduated from the college with honors. Then Ilya entered the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts (SPbGUKI). Ilya is a graduate of the Faculty of Music Stage Art of SPbGUKI of class of jazz piano (taught by Kornev P.K.). In spite of being young, Ilya is a popular and respected musician in St. Petersburg, Russia. He teaches jazz piano in SPbGUKI. Playing as a soloist and as a part of various collectives, he had concert experiences at such venues as: The scene of the D.D. Shostakovich of St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonia (Large and Small Halls) ; the scene of the Moscow State Conservatory (large hall) the Sheremetev Palace ; the Concert hall "U Finlyandskogo"; The Concert Hall of the Polytechnical University ; the Ice Palace ; the Yubileyny Sports Palace, the Variety Theater of A. Raikin and others, as well as in many jazz clubs of St. Petersburg, Moscow, other Russian cities and European concert halls. Ilya was play with the jazz musicians : Chris Potter, Billy Cobham, Ray Blue, Igor Butman, Lee Mays, Marco Chinelli, Sasha Mashin, Azat Bayazitov, Kadri Voorand, Lenny Sendersky and other) Some songs, written by Ilya, are heard in the small and short documentaries of Europe and the USA.
