SONGWRITING for $125

Hi, My name is Steve Paxton and I have been writing songs for over 20 years. I have learned from some of the best writers' in the industry and would be glad to share my knowledge with you.

I lived in Nashville for 15 years, then on the West Coast for about 7 years. I have been blessed to work with so many talented and gifted musicians, vocalists, songwriters and producers. Thankfully, some of their knowledge rubbed off on me.

So if you're having trouble coming up with words, melodies
musical hooks etc., allow me to help your song get to the next level.
Looking forward to working with you!

Here's a few songwriting tips:
Writing a song takes more than inspiration and a catchy hook or phrase. Songwriting is a craft. As with any other craft, it takes time effort, practice and being open-minded and willing to accept constructive criticism. Writing a great song requires a certain amount of experience mixed with some talent and creativity. Knowing the rules of songwriting is a must and knowing when to break the rules is key to making your song standout.

When writing your song, make sure lyrics revolve around the theme of your song idea. Meaning stay focused.
Think of each song as a story that you want to share with your audience. Always keep the audience in mind. Every good song will have a storyline that will keep the listeners' attention and if you're able to write it in a way that relates to the hero of the story, then the lyrics become more personal.

Don’t be too concerned with the rhyme, sometimes it’s better to come up with a verse that doesn’t rhyme than putting a word there just because it fits. (That's called a forced rhyme).

Bottom line: the goal is to write an original song that's not chasing musical trends, but reflects your creative influence and personal style.
