Female Lead and Backing Vocals (Pop / Hip-Hop track)

Hi!
I’m producing an energetic pop track with some hip-hop elements, that needs new lead and backing vocals. The current vocals were generated with AI and should be replaced by a real performance.

The current AI vocals are a bit complex, because they switch between a single lead voice and a small choir. Additionally, there’s a background gospel choir singing different lines than the lead vocals (mostly vowels like “aahh” and “oohh”).

For the final version, I’d like a clear and confident lead vocal, some harmony layers, and a soulful background choir section with “ah / oh” textures.

At around 00:31 – 00:36 in the reference demo, you can hear roughly how the lead plus harmonies should sound together in the final version.

The sound aesthetic I’m going for is similar to sampled soul vocals from the 70s that were slightly sped up. It should feel energetic, tight, and uplifting rather than soft or airy. Presence and groove are key here.

Additional Note:
The final track will be at 98 BPM. However, I did a test recording with a friend (female singer), and it was much easier for us to record it at 87 BPM and -2 semitones, then pitch and speed it up afterwards. It also gives more of that sampled feel. Feel free to do the same.
