Fiddle player for Still an American
My name is Alan Rogers. I am a long time touring professional who never quit writing songs and tinkering my my home studio. I have played professionally since 1988 and, I was steady on the road playing honkytonks and bars, fronting my own band, from 1989 till 2001.
Since I came out of the 80's club scene before being converted to country (Thanks in large part to bands like the Kentucky Head Hunters, Confederate Railroad, Georgia Satellites an...d Dwight Yokam, to name a few) I like an edgier sound that has some teeth to it. Not that I don't write pure old country as well, cause I have written a couple of waltzes and old style country ballads that I really love. I like it all.
This song is my latest creation. The cut is a Country/Rock Americana tune, celebrating the defense of the American way of life in this modern landscpae. It is still in still need of fiddle on the verse and perhaps elsewhere. I also may consider a grinding organ Ala Dwight Yokam on "Fast as You" in a couple of spots, especially the second bridge and final chorus. Its a rough mix at this point but should be sufficient to let you feel where I am going with it.
I am using Ableton Live 11 and mostly digital production, except for my instruments, so MP3 tracks are good.
The copyright is solid so no worries there, if you care to share it with someone, feel free.
Thanks checking me out and thanks for listening!
