Phase Correction for Acoustic Drum Tracks for $15

This service is for phase correction of multi-track drum recordings. I require that any tracks submitted are consolidated (starting from the same point in time) and correctly labeled ("snare", "kick", "bottom snare", etc.) to allow me to get started efficiently.

Phase relationship between multi-mic sources are vital to an accurate mix that translates across all platforms. Most often, the low end "punch" frequencies are lost in a multi-tracked recording where compromises have been made to capture the source. Recordings with poor phase correlation can also make high frequencies appear "flangey" or "washy". By correcting the phase relationship between each microphone in a multi-tracked setup, I will make sure that you are not losing weight or definition in your drum multi-tracks.

If you listen closely to the examples, you'll most likely notice that the kick drum in the first clip is largely lost in the context of the other drums - its low end information has been cancelled out by the competing microphones. Similarly, the snare drum carries little weight. Contrasting this clip to the second, you'll hear what has been lost much more clearly, which is often a difference of several dB.

Pre-Phase Correction

The drums sound fine, however there is a distinct lack of weight given the proximity of the microphones. This is very common for multi-track sources.
